What Is a Biokineticist?
A biokineticist is a healthcare professional who uses movement as medicine, specializing in exercise-based rehabilitation to treat injuries, enhance performance, and improve overall health. The main objective is to help people recover, perform better, and live healthier lives.

Biokinetics is evidence-based, meaning that every rehabilitation and exercise plan is built on proven science, measurable progress, and continual assessment — so you can see and feel your improvement.

My Philosophy
I believe that movement is medicine — one of the most powerful tools to heal, strengthen, and transform the body and mind. My approach is centered on:

  • Evidence-based rehabilitation
  • Personal progress tracking
  • Helping you become the stronger and healthier version of yourself

Services I Offer

  • Injury Rehabilitation
Rehabilitating injuries by strengthening the affected and surrounding structures, identifying the root cause, and preventing future injuries.

Pre- & Post-Surgery Rehabilitation
Helping patients recover after surgery, or preparing those scheduled for surgery to improve outcomes. I also work with patients who wish to avoid surgery (such as hip replacements) through alternative, evidence-based rehabilitation.

Sport Conditioning
Enhancing physical performance through individualized programs designed for the specific demands of your sport, reducing injury risk and improving longevity.

Weight Management & Lifestyle Improvement
Improving overall health and fitness by focusing on functional strength and healthy movement to make daily life easier and more enjoyable.

Metabolic & Chronic Condition Management
Exercise therapy for conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and back pain — to enhance functionality and quality of life.

Group Classes
Small group sessions or individual classes such as Pilates and HIIT workouts, catering to different fitness levels and goals.

Pre- & Post-Natal Exercise
Programs designed to keep the body strong and active during pregnancy, positively influencing the birthing process and speeding up postpartum recovery.

Posture Correction
Comprehensive postural analysis and targeted exercise plans to improve alignment, alleviate pain, and enhance movement efficiency.

🕐 When to See a Biokineticist

  • When your doctor refers you
  • When you experience pain or injury
  • When you want to improve functionality
  • When you want to enhance sport performance
  • When you want to adopt healthier lifestyle habits

I meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be — young or old, athlete or beginner. Everyone is welcome.

What to Expect from Your First Appointment
Step 1Booking & Registration
Once you reach out to book your appointment, we’ll complete your patient registration and gather essential information.

Step 2Initial Consultation & Assessment
We’ll discuss your background, goals, and expectations. I’ll perform a series of tests and movement assessments to collect key data and insights.

Step 3Program Design
After evaluating your results, I’ll create a personalized, evidence-based exercise plan tailored to your needs and goals.

Step 4Implementation & Guidance
We’ll begin your rehabilitation and exercise journey. I’ll demonstrate your home program and then we’ll continue with one-on-one sessions for more targeted work.

Step 5Re-Assessment & Progress Tracking
After your program, we’ll repeat key tests and measure your progress. We’ll either set new goals or transition you to a maintenance plan for continued success.

Who Am I?
I graduated from the University of the Free State with a bachelor’s degree in Biokinetics and am currently completing my Master’s degree on an athletics scholarship at the University of Johannesburg. As a passionate long-distance runner who has represented South Africa twice and holds seven national titles across cross country, duathlon, and road running, I understand first-hand the importance of rehabilitation, conditioning, and maintaining a strong body to reach your goals.

I’ve had my fair share of injuries over the years, which has shaped my deep commitment to helping others recover and grow through movement. My goal is to help you become the stronger, healthier version of yourself.

Movement is medicine!
